EDINBOROUGH HOMES was founded in 1980 by Ed Mendel, a graduate of the University of Florida and a second generation home builder. His intent in founding Edinborough Homes was to provide a personal approach to building. Ed feels that home building should be a fun and educational experience based on fairness and mutual respect.

Although Edinborough Homes has built multi-family homes and commercial projects, the main focus is on custom home building, over $7 million to date. Edinborough Homes builds in many price ranges from 120,000 to over $350,000, and has built in many of Gainesville's best neighborhoods. Edinborough Homes is a preferred builder in Brookfield, in addition to Turkey Creek at Gainesville National Golf and Country Club, and The Sanctuary.
